Your feedback is important to help improve and shape future Brain meetings. This evaluation form is divided into 3 sections - you may complete all or any part of the form, any and all feedback is valuable.

This congress brings together mountain scenery and brain science. Scientists from around the world will present data on cell injury in diseases such as stroke (brain ischemia), Parkinson's disease, brain tumors and brain injury/trauma, Alzheimer's disease, migraine, hypoglycemia and epilepsy. Going from cell to brain in analyses at several biological levels of organization provides a comprehensive approach to brain disease, by addressing cellular mechanisms, topics such as calcium in cells, receptors, enzymes, nitric oxide, glutamate, DNA, synapses, electrophysiology, brain swelling, brain perfusion, drug neuroprotection, cerebral energy metabolism. A satellite conference gives new results using a powerful combined technique, PET (positron emission tomography) scanning, that gives brain anatomy and function simultaneously.

In one trip, both a brain science congress and a vacation are possible, in a safe, clean country. This biennial congress of ~1000 people brings together members of the International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, and others. The science can stand on its own, but with the opportunity for a holiday in the scenic Canadian Rocky Mountains as well as first class science of the blood flow and metabolism of the brain in normal and diseased states, this congress is a winner. Results discussed at this congress are relevant to many diseases, such as stroke, brain damage after cardiac arrest, hypoxia, cerebral edema, migraine, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, hypothermia, hypoglycemia, cerebral vasospasm, brain tumors, drug abuse, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, schizophrenia.
